Cloud Compute Nodes: Operating System Upgrade from 2018-05-16 10:00 CEST to 2018-05-18 18:00 CEST

Despite thorough testing in our lab we discovered a few issues during final testing in production. These issues have been solved by now and we are proceeding with the maintenance work as planned. However, due to the unexpected delay, we have to extend the maintenance window by 24 hours (until Friday 2018-05-18 18:00 CEST)

Expected Impact
Thanks to the redundant setup no impact is expected. Already running virtual servers are not affected by this work as they will be live-migrated to other compute nodes before the upgrade. The network infrastructure is not changed during this upgrade and no network connectivity issues are expected.

On Wednesday 2018-05-16 and Thursday 2018-05-17 we will upgrade the operating system on our cloud compute nodes. All running virtual servers will be live-migrated to other compute nodes at least once during this maintenance work. This is a standard procedure during compute node maintenance and no impact is expected.
