On Monday 2019-06-24 between 10:55 and 11:05 CEST, during the scheduled maintenance of our storage hosts, some I/O operations from virtual servers to SSD volumes were blocked temporarily. This issue was caused by Ceph-internal services (OSDs) that had been started again by mistake on the storage host being upgraded.
We have adjusted our procedures to prevent this issue from recurring when upgrading subsequent storage hosts.
