Updates

Scheduled

We are upgrading the Bulk and Object Storage hardware at our RMA (Rümlang) region. In the course of this upgrade, new storage hosts will be put into service and existing hosts will be replaced by more powerful systems. At the same time, we are also expanding the storage capacity to keep up with our general growth.

On Monday, 2021-05-03, from 21:00 to 23:00 CEST, we will perform the first phase of the overall process. In this first phase, we will grow the storage cluster by adding new hosts and storage capacity. During this maintenance window, we expect periods of degraded performance (access time, throughput/IOPS) of Bulk volumes as well as the Object Storage.

During the days following this maintenance, the existing data will be moved within the enlarged storage area, which might result in slightly reduced Bulk and Object Storage performance during this process.

The storage cluster at our LPG region is not affected by this maintenance.

Date / Time
Monday, 2021-05-03, 21:00 to 23:00 CEST

Expected Impact
We expect periods of degraded performance of the Bulk and Object Storage at our RMA region during this maintenance, and a slight performance impact during the subsequent days.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
