Cloud Compute Nodes: Security Updates to Address Foreshadow/L1TF Vulnerabilities from 2018-08-28 09:00 CEST to 2018-08-31 22:00 CEST

Due to unexpected issues caused by the BMC controller of our cloud compute nodes, we have to extend the maintenance window by 24 hours (until Friday 2018-08-31 22:00 CEST).

Expected Impact
Thanks to the redundant setup no impact is expected. Already running virtual servers are not affected by this work as they will be live-migrated to other compute nodes prior to the installation of the updates. The network infrastructure is not changed during this upgrade and no network connectivity issues are expected.

From Tuesday 2018-08-28 to Thursday 2018-08-30 we will perform security updates on our cloud compute nodes to address the Foreshadow/L1TF vulnerabilities. All running virtual servers will be live-migrated to other compute nodes at least once during this maintenance work. This is a standard procedure during compute node maintenance and no impact is expected.
